RE: stds-802-16-tg3: Formation of the 802.16 AAS ad-hoc

Randall,

Thanks for starting this up so quickly. One thing I would note: "AAS"
stands for "Advanced Antenna Systems" not "Adaptive Antenna Systems" - a
small, but potentially significant, difference.

Subject: stds-802-16-tg3: Formation of the 802.16 AAS ad-hoc

During the last meeting in Finland, an ad-hoc committee to address adaptive
antenna systems (AAS) was formed. Myself and Phil Kelly have been appointed
chairmen of this committee. the goals of the committee are as follows:

*	Reply to AAS PHY and MAC comments from Finland meeting
*	Present data demonstrating the comparative performance of AAS with
Mode C and other Modes.
*	Flesh out text of the Mode C PHY and MAC sections
*	Propose structure for adding AAS to other modes

If you are interested in participating in this ad-hoc work, please send me
an email before Friday, February 1 at the end of the day.
