stds-802-16: A few tips concerning the meeting in Finland
You can find the weather forecast and information about current conditions
from:
http://www.fmi.fi/weather/local.html?kunta=Kittil%E4
As you can see the temperatures are/can be rather chilly. Also remeber the
windchill. Please take this into account when packing for your trip.
Do not forget warm headgear, long johns and mittens. Take along sturdy
wintershoes. Downjackets and furcoats are excellent! A set of 'technical'
underwear (polypropylene, capilene etc.) can save the day when wenturing
outdoors.
There is a lot of info about how to dress for cold weather on the net e.g.

Typical outfits I would consider for outdoor activities:
For cross country skiing:
Technical underwear, thick woolen socks e.g. hiking socks, windstopper
fleece pants, a fleece shirt and a windbreaker jacket. Scarf, gloves and a
cap (woolen or fleece) with protection for the ears or a balaclava.
For downhill skiing
Technical underwear, thick woolen socks, fleece/woolen pants and shirt (if
really cold *2), shell jacket (preferrably with a hood) bibs, woolen or
fleece gloves and shell mittens, scarf and a warm cap protecting also the
ears.
