stds-802-16: Call for Comment Resolutions: IEEE 802.16 Letter Ballot #4

The Letter Ballot #4 Comments and Reply Comments are reported here:

Title: IEEE 802.16 Letter Ballot #4 Comment Report (including reply comments)
Document Number: IEEE 802.16-02/01
URL: <http://ieee802.org/16/docs/02/80216-02_01.zip>

At this time, the originator of each comment is invited to craft a
resolution to the comment. Resolutions should address any logged
replies, but, even if no replies were received, the originator is
encouraged to propose a resolution based on a better idea or
supplying more detail than was supplied in the original comment.

Emailed replies are due by Saturday, January 19 ("anywhere in the
world"). However, if you are in attendance at Session #17, you may
submit the proposal up to the time at which the comment resolution
takes place in the session. If you email it during the session, it
may be considered.

To create resolution proposals:

(1) Open the report (see Appendix 1 below)
(2) For each of your comments, fill out the fields:
	Recommendation:
	Proposed Resolution:
	Reason for Recommendation:
(3) Check the "Marked" box for each Proposed Resolution you are submitting.
(4) When you are finished entering replies, look under Scripts and
choose "Find Marked Records". This will find the records for which
you checked the "Marked" box.
(5) Put your name in the "Recommendation by" field of each reply {for
a quick method, see Appendix 2 at the end of this note.}
(6) Under Scripts, choose "Export Clause Editor's Proposals". Choose
the file type "FileMaker Pro Runtime Files". Enter a file name of the
form "LB4_res_Name.USR", where "Name" is your name.
(7) Email the exported file as an attachment to
<mailto:marks@nist.gov>, or submit it to the editor at the session.

Each comment originator is invited to lead the resolution at Session
#17. Each comment originator may, in the "Reason for Recommendation:"
field, designate a replacement to lead the resolution.

Appendix 2: Using "Replace" in Commentary

You can replace everything in a particular field over a batch of
records. For example, clause editors might not want to type their
name in the the "Recommendation by" field each time. Here is a
solution to the problem illustrating the use of "Replace":

*Finish entering your data.
*Find the batch of records in which you want to replace a field.
*In browse mode, and put the cursor in the "Recommendation by" field.
*Under "Records", choose "Replace".
*Choose "Replace with calculated result".
*In the box, write, in quotation marks, your name. Click "OK".
*Click "Replace".
