stds-802-16: Alvarion invitation for the January 2003 meeting
Dear Friends,
Alvarion is pleased to host the January 2003 IEEE 802.16 interim
meeting in the wonderful winter resort Sinaia, Romania.
Last weekend I personally traveled to Romania, to find an appropriate
location and hotel.
I have chosen for you the Palace hotel, 4 stars, built in 1911,
re-furnished last December.
It has 4 conference rooms (additional rooms can be found in vicinity,
a small one can be arranged in one of the apartments). Really
looks special, has an European majestic appearance. Wonderful
chandeliers, including in conference rooms, that were initially
designed for casino use. I have a number of brochures that I'll bring
to Vancouver.
The hotel is in Sinaia's center, other hotels or restaurants are
within walking distance. I suggest to have the meeting from Monday
morning till Thursday, people will have the week-end for ski or Bucharest
sight seeing.
Sinaia is located at 100km (60miles) from the Bucharest International
airport, we will arrange for shuttles on Sunday and possibly on Monday.
We will have a questionnaire for go / return arrangements.
