stds-802-16: status update before my vacation of 8-18 August

Folks,

I'll be out of touch from August 8-18, except for an occasional check of my voice mail.

If you have a file to post, give it the next sequential number, post it on the appropriate upload directory, and notify the appropriate reflector. In other words, follow the usual process <http://ieee802.org/16/submit.html>.

    WG Confirmation Ballot concludes tomorrow (7 August)
    Plans for Sponsor Ballot are laid
       Before I leave town, I will make final arrangements
    Sponsor Ballot may open during my vacation, or just after

    PAR revision approved by NesCom yesterday (August 5)
    Ballotable FrameMaker draft is still in production
    WG Letter Ballot #8 expected for 19 August-18 September

*Mobile Wireless MAN Study Group <http://ieee802.org/16/mobile>
    Call for Contributions is expected

*802.16a Enhancements Ad Hoc <http://ieee802.org/16/docs/02/80216-02_40.pdf>
    Call for Contributions issued; 16 September deadline

*2-11 GHz PICS PAR Ad Hoc
    Inactive due to lack of volunteers
    Let me know if you'd like to Chair

*10-66 GHz PICS PAR (P1802.16.1)
    PAR Approved by NesCom yesterday (August 5)
        Formal Standards Board approval expected August 15
    Call for Contributions to be launched by August 20

    Registration and hotel reservation forms are on web
    Planning to avoid parallel meetings of TGa, Mobile, and Enhancements
       extra space is available if a split is necessary

    Still unsure if 802.16 will be in Hyatt or Sheraton
       Have requested the Hyatt
