IEEE 802: Meeting Information Update Memo - Last Announcement

The 7/5 deadline for web pre-registration at $300 has past. However
you may still web register at $350 for the upcoming July IEEE-802
Plenary Meeting at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco, which will save
you from having to waste time filling out forms by hand and waiting
in long registration lines. You can just grab your pre-printed badge
& information packet and move on to more interesting things. So

Airport Transportation: BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) now has a
station at the San Francisco International Airport (SFO). You can
take BART from the airport to the Embarcadero Station (1 block from
the hotel) for $4.70 each way. To get to the Embarcadero Station you
will need to take the DUBLIN - PLEASANTON TRAIN which leaves from the
airport every 20 minutes. There are several different trains and
routes, so please make sure you get on the right one. For more

The downtown area of San Francisco is actually quite compact and
almost everything of interest is within walking distance. Since
parking at the hotel is $38.00 per day, we strongly recommend not
bothering with a rental car. Getting around in San Francisco by
public transportation is very easy and taxicabs are readily available
at most times. The California Street Cable Car departs just in front
of the Hyatt Regency SF (every 5-10 minutes).
The Hyatt Regency San Francisco at the Embarcadero is now completely
SOLD OUT. If you do not have reservations yet, you should call the
Hotel directly at (415) 788-1234 to check for late cancellations and
ask reservations to be put on the "IEEE802 Wait-List".
The IEEE 802 special rate at the Holiday Inn Financial District is
$139.00/night, but some additional web deals may also be available.
There are still a limited number of rooms available at the Holiday
