I still think that if our simulations show the same results in 10dB log normal but differ in 2dB log normal

then probably the simulations differ in the thresholds and threshold computing methods.

 

It may be possible to improve the performance you have shown (or maybe mine ;-))

Even with 63.1% of detection probability, after 10 frames, the miss probability is 1 - (1 - 0.631)^10, which is less then 0.01%. Since the correlation method only applies to initial sync, I don't think this is a bad result.

I have simulated the initial synchronization performance with the current preamble structure.

Unfortunately, my simulation results show different from that of Runcom's.

For example,

In ITU-A channel, shadowing factor=2dB,

miss probability=24.6%, false alarm probability=12.3%, detection probability=63.1%

Therefore, we need more simulations for verification of Runcom's results.
