[STDS-802-16] meeting regarding proposed Study Group: "Mobile Multi-hop Mesh/Relay Networking"

Session #37 Attendees:

At the Opening Plenary, Mitsuo Nohara presented IEEE C802.16-05/006 proposing a new Study Group on "Mobile Multi-hop Mesh/Relay Networking in IEEE 802.16". We saw a lot of interest in this contribution, and a number of people raised their hands to indicate interest in a short meeting on the topic this week.

We don't have a lot of time on the schedule for this. I have allocated a slot from 7:30-8 pm on Thursday evening, just before the Closing Plenary. Mitsuo will chair a meeting at that time.

We do not need to make any decisions at this session regarding a Study Group. Such a proposal can be reviewed and voted on at Session #38. However, it would be appropriate at the current session to begin planning an activity to prepare a proposal.
