[STDS-802-16] IEEE-SA Standards Board actions regarding 802.16

We have received an informal news report from the IEEE-SA Standards Board meeting today.

For 802.16, the highlights are:

*802.16k was approved as an IEEE Standard (an amendment to 802.1D).

*The 802.16 Revision project was authorized; that's the "P802.16" PAR.

I'll forward formal notifications when I receive them.

Note also that 802.3 Chair Bob Grow was elected Vice Chair of the Standards Board. Congratulations!

Roger
