Air Travel
The Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport. web site contains most of the information you would need to travel to Ottawa. According to the web site, there are direct flights to the following cities outside Canada: Boston, Chicago, Detroit, London (Heathrow and Gatwick), New York (La Guardia and Newark), Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Raleigh-Durham, St. Louis, and Washington (Dulles and Reagan National). For travel from other cities outside Canada you will find frequent connections through Toronto and Montreal. The official airport code name is YOW. Because of the possibility of delays due to winter storms it is recommended that you plan to arrive in Ottawa the day before the meeting or earlier.

Public Transit
Bus Route 97 departs the airport terminal at the curb outside the Arrivals area. Tickets available at the Ground Transportation Kiosk at Arrivals for 0.80 cents/ticket (2 tickets are required to go downtown) or pay CAD 2.25 cash on the bus. You may also get a CAD 5 Day Pass. The bus runs about every 15 minutes and the trip takes about 30 minutes (see schedule). The closest bus stop to the Crowne Plaza Hotel is on Albert Street, between Kent and Lyon (see map). Hotel Shuttle Bus from Ottawa International Airport
The Hotel Shuttle Bus runs every half an hour (20 minutes before the hour and 10 minutes after the hour) and the trip takes about 20 minutes (the bus stops at several hotels). Taxi from Ottawa International Airport
Taxis are plentiful and they take credit cards. The fare to the Crowne Plaza Hotel is about CAD 20 and the trip takes about 20 minutes.
Auto Rental
Please note that you will NOT need a car in Ottawa and driving in winter may be hazardous. If you plan to rent a car please dress warmly because the rental car part is some walking distance away from the terminal and you might need to do some snow removal or ice scrapping before you can drive the car. Parking for guests at the Crowne Plaza Hotel is CAD 13/day with in and out privileges.
