Re: [802.19] Internet Traffic measurements

Does this distribution represent all traffic and therefore not associated to any specific traffic/protocol type? If this data is indeed an aggregate of all traffic then it is difficult to associate this particular model with a specific 11e AC.

Is there any specific data to address individual ACs?

Thanks,

Paul.

All,

Here is a distribution of packet sizes supplied by Peter.

Hi Steve,

When we were doing 802.11e ('99-'03) the Internet traffic (measured as Ethernet packets in gateways) was:

 20% ~1500 octets

 20% ~568-576 octets

 60% < 128 octets

Peter,

Thanks.  I had not even gotten around to sending you a request.  You mentioned that you had some typical distribution of packet sizes already.  Can you share them with us?

Steve

Send them a query on how to readout traffic by packet size
