Very interesting. I'm glad to see that in Section 3 it isn't limited to the SDOs listed. One that should be of interest to much of 802, that being ITU-R, isn't listed but certainly should be added.

On another note in the U.S. preparation for the ITU-T TSAG the low level of participation in that event and similar issues overall in ITU-T has been pointed out. Maybe this event will be the start of a revitalization of that organization.

As this occurs after the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference maybe the incoming (and outgoing) leadership in ITU, ITU-T, ITU-D and ITU-R can either be invited or encouraged to attend with the goal of building a bi-directional relationship with IEEE and others.

1- Work is under progress to make of the workshop a standalone IEEE conference from next year.

2- The workshop's BEST PAPERS will be recommended for publication at the IEEE Communications Magazine's supplement on "Communications Standards", including the following feature topic:
"Research & Standards: Advanced Cloud Technologies & Network Function Virtualization Techniques in 5 G".
