Re: [802.19] Call for Presentations

G’day Steve

I would like to present 19-16-110-00, which was on the server but not addressed in San Diego. It is a presentation designed to provoke discussion on a request from 3GPP RAN1 to IEEE 802 related to ED thresholds, a request to which IEEE 802 have not yet responded. This topic is probably also of interest for IEEE 802.11 TGax participants. I am not proposing an official IEEE 802 response out of the Warsaw meeting because the associated issues deserve more thought, but IEEE 802 should probably aim to send a response out of the San Antonio meeting.

I am also playing around with the idea of proposing a cut down version of the letter to the cities (originally proposed by a bunch of people from Blackberry, CableLabs, HP Enterprises, Marvell, Cisco, Sony and Ruckus Wireless, and substantially refined by Stephen Palm during the San Diego meeting) that was not approved last time. Could those people who voted “no” in San Diego please send me details of which elements of the letter  caused them to vote “no” and which elements are acceptable? I will make an attempt to satisfy as many stakeholders as possible.

Andrew

All,

If anyone has a presentation they would like to make at the 802.19 WG meetings, on liaisons or other topics, please email me.

               See you in Warsaw.

Thanks,
