[802.19] 802.19 Task Group 3 Call for Contributions



Please advise if you will have a contribution to present in the September meeting so that agenda time can be allocated.

Introduction

802.19 Task Group 3 is developing a Recommended Practice for Local and Metropolitan Area Networks - Part 19: Coexistence Methods for 802.11 and 802.15.4 based systems operating in the Sub-1 GHz Frequency Bands.  The scope of the recommended practice is:

This recommended practice provides guidance on the implementation, configuration and commissioning of systems sharing spectrum between IEEE Std 802.11ah-2016 and IEEE Std 802.15.4 Smart Utility Networking (SUN) Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) Physical Layer (PHY) operating in Sub-1 GHz frequency bands.

The Task Group is soliciting contributions for the September Wireless Interim session in Hanoi, Vietnam, September 16th through September 19th, 2019.

Call for Contributions

The 802.19.3 Task Group request submissions related to the specification framework document, which can be found here:

Contributions relating to specific sections identified in the outline are requested.  Contributions suggesting modifications to the framework of the recommended practice are also welcome.

The task group is also requesting submissions related to the use of the 802.15.4 and 802.11 standards in sub-1GHz bands.   Current use case documents include:
