The IEEE 802.24 Smart Grid Technical Advisory Group (TAG) charter is:

Meeting Announcement: Nuts and Bolts of the Internet of Things

The IEEE 802.24 Technical Advisory Group (TAG) is to host a one and a half hour session on "Nuts and Bolts (NaB) of the Internet of Things". The motivation is to discuss substantive basis for applying 802 standards to evolving "IoT" application space and to gather together like minded experts interested in exploring the topic. In keeping with NaB approach the session is to focus on the application of 802 standards to connecting sensors (things) to the Internet "IoT".

The meeting will be held on 18 March 2014, 18:00-19:30 local time as part of the IEEE 802 Plenary session in Beijing, China. For information on attending the IEEE 802 Plenary session, please go to http://802world.org/plenary

Getting involved in IEEE 802.24

The IEEE 802.24 Smart Grid TAG meets officially during IEEE 802 Plenary sessions, but may hold ad-hoc meetings at interim sessions on an as-needed basis. In addition, conference calls may be announced, as covered under the rules for 802 TAGs, as defined in the IEEE Project 802 LMSC Operations Manual
