[802SEC] Final 802.18 Content for March 2003 IEEE 802 News Bulletin

Dear all,

I got a call early this morning that my Mother is
in the hospital in Ohio with congestive heart failure
and possibly pneumonia, in addition to a degenerative
disease from which she has suffered for several years.

I am "bugging out" to Ohio shortly and may not be
able to do anything substantial on this for at least
several days.

Denis Kuwahara should be able to provide a summary of
the documents we drafted and approved in Dallas (all
were also approved by .11, .15, and .16, as well as
the Executive Committee), though the descriptions should
be brief and not get into the content of documents that
have not yet been filed with their respective recipients.

(Denis ... be aware that the SEC motion vis a vis a
press release on the 5 GHz compromise with USG was
withdrawn and will be handled via the 5 day SEC review
of an 802.18 document that I will prepare in cooperation
with IEEE/IEEE-SA PR staff.)

Roger ... if necessary, could you possibly help review
and edit input from Denis so that it fits the appropriate
style for the news bulletin?

Sorry to leave folks in the lurch here, but this is a
"must do," as I'm sure you can understand.

I appreciate any help you all can give me on this.

I will try to check e-mail as possible while I'm in
Ohio, but it may be spotty, depending on how things
go.

Regards,
