Dear EC Colleagues, The IEEE 802.16 Working Group has approved a statement notifying the FCC of the new P802.16.3 Project (on Mobile Broadband Network Performance Measurements), noting the potential relevance to the FCC's new program (announced 4 September) on the measurement of mobile broadband service performance. The statement also requests the FCC's input regarding the development of the P802.16.3 technical requirements. The document was approved in the IEEE 802.16 Working Group Closing Plenary meeting of 20 September by vote of 9/0/0. It was also reviewed by the 802.18 TAG on 19 September and approved unanimously by 802.18 on 20 September. Per OM subclause 8.2.2, we will wait the specified five-day review period before submission.
