Re: [802SEC] MOTION 1: IEEE 802.22.2 Standards Completion Press Release

Hi Apurva,

I vote APPROVE with two minor comments.

Best regards,
  David

[1] Suggest that '.. has completed and published the IEEE Std. 802.22.2T-2012 for installation and deployment of the IEEE Std. 802.22-2011 ..' be changed to read '.. has completed and published the IEEE Std. 802.22.2T-2012 recommend practice for the installation and deployment of the IEEE Std. 802.22-2011 ..' since it reads better, and matches the title of IEEE Std 802.22.2 more closely.

[2] It isn't clear to me if the typically in 'Each WRAN delivers 22 Mbps to 29 Mbps typically over 10 km to 30 km radius ..' applies to the 22 Mbps to 29 Mbps or to the 10 km to 30 km radius, or maybe both. Please clarify if you think necessary.

Subject: [802SEC] MOTION 1: IEEE 802.22.2 Standards Completion Press Release

Dear EC members,

Based on the draft IEEE 802.22.2 Recommended Practice for Installation and Deployment of 802.22 Systems - Standards Completion Press Release that I circulated to the EC a couple of weeks ago, please find attached an updated release which I'm now seeking EC approval for. The changes from my earlier press release language are as shown based on the comments that I received from Stephen McCann and John Ambrosia.

Paul has delegated the conduct of the EC electronic ballot on the following motion to me. To ensure this release is issued as soon as practical I am announcing the possibility of an 'early close' to this ballot (see below).

Best regards,
Apurva
