James, Not to be a nitpick, but simple linear growth is
"ever-increasing". Exponential implies ever accelerating growth rates which
is more precise than just "ever-increasing". I suspect John threw in the
ever-increasing for clarity to those who might not be so mathematically
inclined.

My point is that "exponential" growth also says "ever-increasing", hence
"ever-increasing" add no new information. Further more, you have way too
many words to say something simple, which is "this is growing fast!".
IMHO, in PR as in standards, fewer words are better.
Still, I am only saying that it is redundant and hard to read. If you are
OK with it, I am not opposed to what I personally perceive as silliness.

PS: We should not get into a long discussion of examples of exponential
functions that are not strictly increasing. At least not without the
appropriate beverages present.
