Thanks Roger,

Good point. The motion should read

Motion

======

The EC approves the “IEEE FORMS STUDY GROUP TO EXPLORE STANDARDIZATION
FOR SPECTRUM OCCUPANCY SENSING TECHNOLOGY,
” press release, with editorial changes as deemed necessary.

Move:   Apurva N. Mody

Second: Steven Shellhammer

Start of ballot: Thursday 12th December

Close of ballot: Sunday 22nd December, 11:59PM AOE

Early close: As required in subclause 4.1.2 'Voting rules' of the IEEE 802 LAN/MAN Standards Committee (LMSC) Operations Manual, this is notice that, to ensure the release is provided in a timely manner, this ballot may close early once sufficient responses are received to clearly decide a matter.

Apurva,

I don't understand why your motion makes the press release contingent on its approval by the SASB.

When would you expect to present such a request to the SASB?

Roger

Dear EC Members,

Paul has authorized me to conduct the EC motion to approve the Press Release on the formation of the Spectrum Occupancy Sensing (SOS) Study Group under the 802.22 Working Group. Please see the attached Press Release document.

Paul has delegated the conduct of the EC electronic ballot on the following motion to me. To ensure this release is issued as soon as practical I am announcing the possibility of an 'early close' to this ballot (see below).

Best regards,

Mody
