Dear EC members,
At the July 2018 IEEE 802 Plenary meeting, conditional approval was granted to forward IEEE P802.3bt 4-pair Power over Ethernet to RevCom. Details are provided in the attached report, but in summary the response to the IEEE 802 LMSC Operations Manual Clause 12 'Procedure for conditional approval to forward a draft standard' items are as follows:
a) The recirculation balloting is complete. The
seventh recirculation ballot occurred generally in
accordance to the plan presented.
b) The approval rate is 98%, only one comment was
submitted on the seventh recirculation ballot that
reads 'This draft meets all editorial requirements.'.
c) No technical changes have been made.
d) There are no new valid DISAPPROVE votes or
comments on new issues.
e) There are no new invalid DISAPPROVE votes
which require details to the Sponsor.
f) Please see the attached for the date the ballot
closed and the vote tally.
Based on the above IEEE P802.3bt will remain on the September 2018 RevCom agenda.
