Re: [802SEC] IETF survey on virtual meetings

One of the questions I think we should ask the members is whether we hold a “Virtual Plenary”?  We need to explain what that means.

We can explain that some key items like approval of PARs can be handled with a Virtual Plenary or with other means, like several EC calls.

Regards,

Steve

Subject: [802SEC] IETF survey on virtual meetings

CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization.

Colleagues,

FYI, to help us in preparing a potential survey of our participants, the IETF is currently conducting a detailed survey of participants on their preference for replacing their three yearly plenaries:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/5328FFJ

The categories include:

  • Participation level
  • Replace, postpone or cancel
  • Priority of different meetings
  • Length of plenary (4 days to 2 weeks)
  • Meeting time per day (2 to 10 hours)
  • Base time zone
  • Tools required for virtual meetings (voting/humming, queuing, informal chat rooms)

Cheers,

Glenn.
