Status of Project IEEE 802.11 DLS Study Group

July 2007, San Francisco, California, USA
The DLS Study Group met twice during the week.
- The closing report is in 11-07-2274r0 and the minutes are in 11-07-2203r1
- There was one technical presentation: 11-07-2061-00-0dls-fair-and-protected-DLS
- The PAR and 5C documents went to ExCom for the creation of a new DLS Task Group
- and a recommendation was made to the working group chair for the new Task Group chair
The goal for the September 2007 meeting is to discuss and take the work forward, still
meeting as the DLS Task Group.
May 2007, Montreal, Quebec, Canada
The DLS Study Group met twice during the week.

- The meeting on Monday included three presentations:
- Direct Transmission Protection 07/0592r0 by Sihoon Yang
- DLS Timeout Value 07/0710r0 by Eunkyo Kim
- Best Path Selection 07/0709r0 by Jiyoung Huh
The goal for the July 2007 meeting is to discuss and take the work forward, and also to seek
approval of the PAR and 5C documents (11-07-0225r2) at ExCom to create a new DLS Task Group.

- Prepared and approved PAR/5C for DLS SG (11-07-0225r2)
- Two Technical Presentations:
- New DLS (07/0478r0) – Menzo et al.
- FlexWiFi (06/1566r1) – Vincenzo et al.
- Motion to approve telecons for 3 April and 1 May 2007.
The goal for the May 2007 meeting is to continue various discussions and presentations.
