The study group met in Atlanta, GA to continue the work to craft a Project Authorization Request (PAR) and prepare the five criteria statements required for project approval by the 802 LMSC Executive Committee. Between the September and November sessions, the 802.11 Working Group conducted a poll to provide direction to the study group on the preparation of the PAR and Five Criteria document. The study group reviewed the results of the poll. Based on the results of the poll and discussion in the study group, it was decided not to pursue the creation of a PAR any further. No request was made to renew the study group.
The study group met in Waikoloa Village, HI to continue the work to craft a Project Authorization Request (PAR) and prepare the five criteria statements required for project approval by the 802 LMSC Executive Committee. The study group did not make any progress toward the completion of these tasks. A poll of the entire working group was proposed to solicit input to improve the acceptability of the PAR and Five Criteria document. This poll was approved by the chair of the working group in the closing plenary meeting.

The study group met in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to craft a Project Authorization Request (PAR) and prepare the five criteria statements required for project approval by the 802 LMSC Executive Committee. With a lot of very honest discussion by the participants, bringing several concerns to light, the study group did accomplish both of these tasks and forwarded the PAR with the five criteria statements to the 802.11 Working Group for approval.
