--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 ARC Reflector ---
All, Norm Finn and I put together this presentation, following discussions in Beijing:
https://mentor.ieee.org/802.11/dcn/14/11-14-0497-01-0arc-802-11-portal-and-802-1ac-convergence-function.pptx
The intent is to set a foundation in 802.11 for how a portal could be implemented using an 802.1Q bridge, and the work needed in 802.1AC (and perhaps in 802.11) to support this concept. Getting this architecture clarified will help work
like 802.11ak, where 802.11 and 802.1Q concepts meet. I’d like to discuss this during the ARC session in Waikoloa. Thanks. Mark |
