--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 ARC Reflector ---
Hi, Dorothy, On today’s 802.11 ARC SC call, the group reached consensus on some comments/recommendations that we would like to be known to the 802.1 Nendica group, as they are deliberating the approach to the projects (and associated PAR (and CSD, as appropriate)) to update IEEE Std 802. This consensus can be found on slide 16 of the latest ARC agenda deck (attached here for your convenience). Without a good process to formally vote on any of this, and get it into the Nendica calls – which are continuing as soon as this Thursday am – we’re looking for advice on how to communicate this consensus, recognizing that it is not a formal statement, nor a statement from the broader 802.11. My suggestion is just that either I (as Chair) or Joe (as VChair) could simply report at the Nendica call that the 802.11 ARC group came up with the consensus, and we would appreciate the Nendica group considering that as input to their discussions. I’m not sure we can do anything more formal than that. Please let me know if you think that’s appropriate, etc., and/or if you have any other suggestion. Thanks.
