Re: [STDS-802-11-CAC] Form of motion to authorize TGah to resolve comments

--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Chairs' Advisory Committee Reflector ---

Hello Al,

Any motion that gets made will happen in the closing WG plenary.

As such,  it will be captured in the minutes.

What happens on this reflector and in the CAC on Sunday is merely preparation

for that event.

Best Regards,

Hi Adrian,

Are you are going to capture similar text supporting such a motion as described in this email for TGah and WG meeting minutes. This needs to be clearly documented.

Al

Hello CAC,

For discussion on the thursday CAC,  although we might reduce our meeting time if we can

discuss by email first.

TGah will probably be recirculating an unchanged draft out of this meeting.   Comments are valid on text

affected by unsatisfied comments from “no” voters.   If comments are received,

then resolutions have to be provided,  which means they have to be approved.

We have an “accelerated” process in which the TG can approve comment resolutions,

given that the project has received conditional approval from the EC.  This is not the case

for TGah,  but this process establishes the precedent that a TG can approve (i.e. make a motion

to approve) at a TG meeting.

I’m wondering if we might consider this kind of motion in the WG:

“Authorize TGah to approve the resolution of comments received on the next re-circulation WG letter ballot of P802.11ah at its approved telecons before the November 2015 session.”

Best Regards,

Adrian P STEPHENS
