Dear Edgard,

Could you please indicate whether any additional action is required of me (or the IEEE-SA) related to this request?   Could you please also indicate a timescale when a decision might be known?

The reason I ask is that our next WG 802.11 session is at the start of November,  and ideally I’d like to set up the document mirror for that meeting.

Thank you!

Sincerely yours,

Adrian P STEPHENS

Hello Bernardo,

Regarding the material quoted from the MOU,   we make the materials available on a password protected area of the IEEE 802.11 website.   Active participants in 802.11 are provided with access.

The password is changed every year to weed out inactive participants.

Note that,  according to IEEE 802 rules,  the private areas of each WG are accessible to active participants of all 802 working groups.   This means that, for example, 802.1 active participants are also able to access all 802.11 private area documents.

If this is not acceptable to you,  I will look into getting a private area for ETSI-only documents,  and strictly limit this to 802.11 participants.   I’m not sure this is clearly permitted within the rules of IEEE 802,  so I would need to research the validity of this with the IEEE 802 executive committee.

Regarding practicalities,   I have a docbox account,  and use scp to docbox.etsi.org/BRAN/BRAN to synchronize with the BRAN documents.  I’m hoping that a similar mechanism would also work for ERM TG11 documents.

Best Regards,

Adrian P STEPHENS
