--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Chairs' Advisory Committee Reflector ---
Hi, Adrian, A nit: The “Thoughts on 802.11 in a 3GPP 5G Network” presentation was in WNG; the way you have it makes it look like it was in ARC. More important: I would strengthen the very last bullet. Something like: “802.11 may satisfy some of the IMT 2020 requirements, and to be approved as an IMT 2020 technology might increase the chance of getting additional spectrum.” To “802.11 meets many of the IMT 2020 requirements, and WG11 is considering submitting as an approved IMT 2020 technology on an equal footing with cellular. Being approved might also increase the chance of getting additional spectrum.” Mark From: *** IEEE stds-802-11-cac List *** [mailto:STDS-802-11-CAC@xxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Stephens, Adrian P --- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Chairs' Advisory Committee Reflector --- Hello all, Paul Nikolich asked me for a report to the EC on the status of 5G-related activities in 802.11. Please see attached for my initial SWAG. I’d welcome comments, or if somebody wants to hack into a better shape – be my guest.
