Title: IEEE P802.11 - AIML TOPIC INTEREST GROUP --- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Chairs' Advisory Committee Reflector ---Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning (AIML) is a new Topic Interest Group within the IEEE 802.11 working group that explores use cases of AIML that will apply to IEEE 802.11 systems and devices as well as the technical feasibility of these use cases.
The goal of this IEEE 802.11 Topic Interest Group is to produce a technical report that studies the AIML use cases suitable for IEEE 802.11 as well as the technical feasibility and standard impact of these use cases.

Enhanced Broadcast Services (eBCS) is a new initiative within the IEEE 802.11 working group that will consider broadcast service enhancements within an 802.11-based network. The initiative started as a Topic Interest Group (TIG) in the March 2018 meeting and was afterwards transformed into a Study Group (SG) chartered to create a PAR and CSD document in order to start a new amendment project to the IEEE 802.11 standard. The IEEE Standards Board approved the project in December 2018; as a result a new task group (TGbc) was created within IEEE 802.11.
The new task group is named IEEE 802.11 TGbc (Enhanced Broadcast Services).
The goal of the Enhanced Broadcast Services Task Group (IEEE 802.11 TGbc) is to draft a new amendment to the IEEE 802.11 standard.
The amendment specifies modifications to the IEEE 802.11 medium access control (MAC) specifications that enable enhanced transmission and reception of broadcast data both in an infrastructure BSS where there is an association between the transmitter and the receiver(s) and in cases where there is no association between transmitter(s) and receiver(s).
The amendment introduces origin authenticity protection for broadcast data frames.
In addition to enancing traditional broadcasting services directed from an access point (AP) towards several non-AP stations (STA), the BCS TIG/SG discussed use cases in which non-AP STAs employs broadcasting to disseminate information, e.g. in an IoT environment, to other STAs so that any of the receiving STAs may act as a access to the Internet.
