Hello Mark, Thanks I will make those fixes. Regarding “Venue Date”, I think the practice is outdated. I guess I’m suggesting that be a shorter version of the document date (the current practice in the draft standards). I would think most people treat it this way anyway. Regarding making the pages the same. This is fairly easy to do (just set the gutter size to 0). Any objections to this change? (if you want to see what if would do, open the template – or any submission. Got to “Layout”, pull down Margins and select “Custom Margins”. Change Gutter to 0. -Robert From: Mark Rison <m.rison@xxxxxxxxxxx> Hello Robert, Thanks for this. A couple of things from a quick skim: >
Report
An informative document produced by a TIG, TG or SC. Can't a SG also produce a report? >
Tags = month year, e.g., August 2023) Paren mismatch. I note the "Venue date" thing that used to be present seems to be gone. Does this mean that now the thing in the top left corner of Word documents is to give the same information as the date on the cover page (rather than being the date of the next interim/plenary as I think it was previously intended to be)? Finally, could the Word template be adjusted to make left and right pages the same? I think the value of being able to bind a printout is much lower than the value of making things line up when presenting electronically, nowadays: Especially when headers+footers are hidden: Thanks, Mark --

Hello Dorothy, All, I have updated the document formatting rules page and also the templates themselves. I’ve discarded the very old formats (.xls, .ppt, etc.). Also, only the 16x9 ppt is present. That simplifies things a lot. The instructions are updated to match newer version of Microsoft office. They might be a little Windows centric, so if anyone wants to send me Mac tweaks I could add those too. https://grouper.ieee.org/groups/802/11/Rules/format-rules.html Regards, -Robert To unsubscribe from the STDS-802-11-CAC list, click the following link:
