Hello Ping, I don’t think there is any special rule on this. My opinion is that if an acronym is expanded first in a table, we should also expand it in its first use in the body text. But if the whole purpose of the table is to introduce a bunch of terms, then that is probably not necessary, because folks will expect to reference
the table first. Best Regards, Adrian P STEPHENS Tel: +44 (1793) 404825 (office) ---------------------------------------------- From: Fangping (Device Standard) [mailto:ping.fang@xxxxxxxxxx]
Hi Adrian, In styleman, it says “Within text, the acronym or abbreviation should follow the first use of the full term (the first time in the introduction, then the
first time in the body of the document, and then the first time in any annexes in which the acronym appears). The abbreviation or acronym should be placed in parentheses when following the full term .” My question is whether the first time in a table qualify as the first time in the body of the document. Just want to double check this for MDR resolution
implementation. Best Regards, Ping Huawei Device Co., Ltd. IF YOU WISH to be Removed from this reflector, PLEASE DO NOT send your request to this CLOSED reflector.
