On Behalf Of Paul Nikolich Dear EC members, the IEEE SA Editorial Guidance Hub may be of interest to your newer, relatively inexperienced standards development participants. Regards, --Paul ------ Forwarded Message ------ From: "Annette Reilly" <annetterieee@xxxxxxxxx> Sent: 3/23/2022 5:38:32 PM Subject: FW: SA Editorial Guidance Hub Launched on IEEE Learning Network Many working group members are producing a standard for the first time, but whether it’s your first standard or your 20th, IEEE has new tools and policies to help. Please encourage all your working groups and especially project
editors to become familiar with the free assistance in the new IEEE SA Editorial Guidance Hub.
Best regards, Annette Reilly IEEE Computer Society Vice President for Standards
IEEE Computer Society Standards Activity Board Chair +1.571.274.7901 ---------- Forwarded message --------- Colleagues, I am so pleased to announce the launch of the IEEE SA Editorial Guidance Hub on the IEEE Learning Network. This Hub will be the new go-to
place for all training related to drafting an IEEE SA standard. Using
ILN's dedicated Learning Management System (LMS) allows us to offer more-dynamic materials and to track usage and other metrics that will be used to inform future training materials. My hope is that the Hub serves as a model for others in SA who want
to create high-quality training content and present it on a professional-level platform. You can view it here: You can also access
the Hub by going to the ILN home page and searching for "Guidance Hub" Put it in your
cart and check out and you'll see the current list of training contents. This is a free course. This was an extensive project that involved 1) creating new training materials and 2) working with ILN to design and set up the site. In addition to pertinent excerpts from
Working Group Chair Fundamentals, new offerings include: MS Word Template Training videos: These short videos walk the user through portions of the
MS Word authoring. They replace older versions with updated content and branding. The IEEE SA Interactive Draft Standard: Leveraging the "greatest hits" from the
SA Standards Style Manual, this is a mock draft standard that walks the writer through a draft standard and explains what to do in each section to meet style and formatting requirements. My sincere gratitude to the core leads and the many others who offered feedback and suggestions. Happy learning! Kim --
