FYI ... there is a paper by Sen and Matolak in the June 2008 issue of IEEE Trans. on ITS entitled:

 

"Vehicle-Vehicle Channel Models for the 5-GHz Band"

 

that some might find interesting (if they haven't already read it).  The last line of the abstract reads:

 

"The channel models presented should be useful for system designers in future V2V communication systems." 

 

The paper describes the measurements taken and the modeling approach, including complexity/fidelity tradeoffs.
