Jim, et al: The two points I wanted to make are these: 1. Some loose ends were not addressed, and I don’t see any plan to discuss them. Tevfik said that his proposal simply did not address some of the issues, which led to some assumptions in John Kenney’s presentation that may not be correct. If there is a plan to address the missing details, I can see the Tiger Team extending to January. 2. I would like us to take a straw poll at the end of the discussion, as a means of seeing how far we are from consensus. We can then take that tally into consideration and if the group is okay with it, take one vote in the Standing Committee on the two proposals. We can have an advocate from each camp speak before the vote, and the SC should consider all points before the vote. 3. Alternately, we could avoid disqualifying either, but instead vote to move ahead with testing of proposal #1, as it does not require any additional information from regulators. In their NPRM response Qualcomm asked about the channel reallocation, but to my knowledge, no opinion has yet been forthcoming on that aspect. If and when there is an FCC opinion that does not rule this out, we can schedule additional testing. This could be mooted by any additional details Tevfik may provide as I mentioned in item 1, and a possible compromise reached. Thank you. I hope Dick is not the only one to receive this email.
