Dear all, I have uploaded the “18/0547r2: Draft text for additional
beamforming procedures for mmWave distributed network”.
Since we got positive feedback from the SP (16 Yes, 1 No, 8 Abstain), we will run the motion during the coming IEEE F2F meeting in Warsaw. Hence,
I encourage the group continue to review it offline and share with me if there is any further commentsJ Best Regards : ) Tony Xiao

On Behalf Of Hanxiao (Tony, CT Lab) Dear all, As the agenda indicated below, I will present “[4] 18/0547r0: Draft text for additional beamforming procedures for mmWave distributed network
(Tony Han)”, which has been posted since the March plenary. Since the contribution 18/0547r0 contains about
45 pages, I encourage the group to
review it offline and share with me if there is any commentsJ Below, I give some
quick recap on the background: In January, TDD Group Beamforming (initially referred to as MU Beamforming) is proposed [1], with the following SP results: Do you think a TDD MU Beamforming is needed for distributed network, by which the Initiator (DN) can efficiently perform BF training
with multiple Responders (DNs/CNs)? SP#1: 26 Yes, 1 No, 16 Abstain Do you agree to adopt the scheme described in slides 5-7 into the spec?
(This is just for SP, and the draft text will be provided in the near future for Motion) SP#2: 17 Yes, 1 No, 21 Abstain In March 28th, TDD beam measurement additions and text overview are proposed
[2], with the following SP results Do you support TDD beam measurement additions to TDD group beamforming? SP: 17 Yes, 0 No, 8 Abstain

On Behalf Of Edward Au Hi, A 90-minutes call on April 4 (from 10:00am ET to 11:30am ET) is confirmed. Tentative agenda items are listed as follows: [1] Request from IEEE 802.3 on whether there is any potential need for a new 802.3 standards to support cabling requirements of future IEEE 802.11ad
and IEEE 802.11ay system. [2] 18/0610r0: Comment resolution on MIMO BF misc (Lei Huang) [3] 18/0643r0: Annex B - PICS (Carlos Cordeiro) [4] 18/0547r0: Draft text for additional beamforming procedures for mmWave distributed network (Tony Han) Agenda slide deck for the call (18/0608r0) and all of these 3 submissions are already posted on mentor.
