We could of course do as discussed at the TGaz adhoc and not move the “Secure ToF Measurement” subfield. Though for consistency it does seem like moving it to the Ranging Parameters field makes sense as then
we have all the parameters for TB and non-TB ranging in new elements . (That is unless this functionality if already covered in the new elements for the TB and non-TB ranging negotiation, but this is what I am not clear about.) From: Erik Lindskog Hi all, Can someone help me with this question: In the TGaz LB 240 CID 1121 it is stated (your comment Ali): “Figure 9-618 includes a new field "Secure ToF Measurement" which should only be used for DMG/eDMG and NOT for the existing FTM sequence for <7GHz.” Seems reasonable that it does not apply to the ‘existing FTM sequence’, i.e. EDCA-based FTM ranging, but it is maybe also the case that it does not apply to non-TB and TB ranging? However, I am not finding any corresponding parameter in the ‘Ranging Parameter field’ or the TB or non-TB Specific subelements so maybe this is not the case and indeed the “Secure ToF Measurement” subfield in the FTM parameters field in
the FTM parameters element does apply to TB and non-TB ranging? If this subfield does apply to TB and non-TB ranging, then I am thinking we may want to move it to a subfield in the ‘Ranging Parameter field’. Any thoughts on this in that case?
