Hello Po-kai I still feel uncomfortable for the definition of Multi-link logic entity. If you think the name can be changed, why not change it to device? Otherwise
you may have another purpose which is not known to us. Please refer to the Figure 4-28 in page 286 in Revmd D2.3, what is difference between your definition and the following figure? But it uses the terminology of device. They all have one MAC data service
interface and primitives to the LLC and a single address associated with the interface, which can be used to communicate on the DSM, and have more than two STAs.
Another question is, why categorize one STA as Multi-Link? Best wishes, Ming Gan Best wishes Ming Gan 发件人: Huang, Po-kai [mailto:po-kai.huang@xxxxxxxxx]
Hi Alfred,
Please include the following motions in the agenda. 19/822r3 - Extremely Efficient Multi-band Operation (Po-Kai Huang, Intel) - Motion text:
•
Move to add the followings to the 11be SFD:
–
Multi-link logical entity:
A logical entity that has one or more affiliated STAs. The logical entity has one MAC data service interface and primitives to the LLC and a single address associated with the interface, which can be used to communicate on the DSM.
–
NOTE –A Multi-link logical entity allows STAs affiliated with the multi-link logical entity to have the same MAC address
–
NOTE – The exact name can be changed - Moved by: Po-Kai 19/822r3 - Extremely Efficient Multi-band Operation (Po-Kai Huang, Intel) - Motion text:
•
Move to add the followings to the 11be SFD:
•
Multi-link AP logical entity: A multi-link logical entity, where each STA affiliated with the multi-link logical entity is an AP.
•
Multi-link non-AP logical entity: A multi-link logical entity, where each STA affiliated with the multi-link logical entity is a non-AP STA.
- Moved by: Po-Kai 19/773r6 -Multi-link Operation Framework (Po-Kai Huang, Intel) - Motion text:
•
Move to add the followings to the 11be SFD:
–
Define a multi-link setup signaling exchange executed over one link initiated by a multi-link non-AP logical entity with a multi-link AP logical entity
as follows:
•
Capability for one or more links can be exchanged during the multi-link setup
•
The multi-link AP logical entity serves as the interface to the distribution system (DS) for the multi-link non-AP logical entity after successful multi-link
setup
–
NOTE – The link is bidirectional.
–
NOTE - The link identification is TBD
–
NOTE – Details for non-infrastructure mode of operation TBD •

Hello all, Please let me know if you plan to run any motions on SPs that passed the 75% threshold so that we can allocate some time during the Thursday PM2 session. In order to simplify the process please follow these steps: - Include the motion text in a revised version of the corresponding submission - Send me a copy of the motion text so that i can include it in the agenda slides. The request to be accompanied with the following information: - DCN and Rev - Title of the presentation (Author, Affiliation) - Motion text: - Moved by: Let me know if you have any questions and/or clarifications.
