Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBE] IEEE802.11be D0.1 Spec Text Writing: Call For Volunteers

Hi Alfred

The document 20/997r0 https://mentor.ieee.org/802.11/dcn/20/11-20-0997-00-00be-tgbe-spec-text-volunteers-and-status.docx organizes the PHY topics based on features.  However, PHY spec includs many sections are not necessarly oganized around the featurs. For example, PHY service interface (TX/Rx vectors),  transmitter block diagram, timing related parameters, etc, are dfificult to map to any features but are essential.  I noticed that Edward has uploaded a skeleton document for D0.1, which is a very good start.  IMHO, it is better to assign the draft tasks directly based on the sections in the skeleton document, at least for the PHY.

I want to volunteer for the POC for the following sections

  • Introduction to the EHT PHY
  • Timing-related parameters

I also volunteer for the following topics as TTT

  • Subcarrrier and resolution allocation (which covers tone plan,  RU for SU and MU, etc)

Thanks,

Bin

Hello all,

This is a call for volunteers for writing candidate spec text for IEEE802.11be D0.1.

In order to streamline the process and keep track of POCs, group of members working on each topic we prepared the document below:

The classification of the topics is based on the classification of topics present in the TGbe SFD (r10). Member's feedback on the classifications (renaming, subdivisions, etc.) is welcomed.

Please indicate which topic(s) you would like to volunteer for (adds to the TTT list), and whether you would like to be the POC for a particular topic.

For more information please refer to the guidelines for spec text drafting (Guideline-Spec Text Drafting for TGbe D0.1) that can be found in the document below:

Thanks in advance for volunteering and please let me know if you have any questions.

Best Regards,

Alfred
