Hi, Sameer Regardless of whether we start drafting the Multi AP section now, I wanted to clarify. If you feel ok for now to include the Multi AP NDP issues I mentioned in the previous email in the Multi AP Sounding section, let me go ahead and include the following motion as one
of the relevant motions to the Multi AP Sounding section. “Joint NDP sounding scheme for multi-AP system with less or equal to total 8 antennas at AP has all antennas active on all LTF tones and uses 802.11ax P matrix across OFDM symbols. [Motion 15, [3] and [143]]” The motion 15 above was not listed as a relevant motion in the Multi AP Sounding section yet, because I thought that the motion 15 may belong to your section. But, let me go ahead and
add the motion 15 to the Multi AP Sounding Section. Let me know if you have a different opinion. Regards Junghoon From: Sameer Vermani [mailto:svverman@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]
Hi Junghoon, Thanks for your e-mail. Hopefully the PPDU format for joint sounding NDP can stay the same as the regular NDP so that we don’t need much multi-AP related additions in this section. However, we can discuss about the proper
place for things you mention as more decisions get made on this topic and multi-AP sounding. Regardless, I do think we are not yet ready to start drafting this section. Regards, Sameer From: Junghoon Suh <Junghoon.Suh@xxxxxxxxxx>
CAUTION: This email originated from outside of
the organization. Hi, Sameer Thank you for taking an initiative on spec draft writing for this section. As I asked during the call today, I wanted to clarify the Multi AP Sounding NDP case, such as the LTF design for Joint sounding NDP transmitted from coordinated APs simultaneously, indication of global number
of LTFs or Streams across coordinated APs in NDP, etc. I am the PoC of Multi AP Sounding section, and I even wonder if I need to include the issues I mentioned above in the Multi AP Sounding section which I take as a PoC or in the EHT Sounding NDP which you take
as a PoC. Regards Junghoon From: Sameer Vermani [mailto:svverman@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]
Hi ‘EHT Sounding NDP TTT members’ and all, EHT Sounding NDP section in PHY will mainly cover the NDP PPDU format details. As the POC for this section, I plan to draft the spec text and then have a discussion with TTT members. Considering lack of motions related
to this section so far, the spec drafting needs to wait for agreements to be made on this topic. Let me know if you have any comments or suggestions. Regards, Sameer To unsubscribe from the STDS-802-11-TGBE list, click the following link:
