Sorry  about that. The time point of sending this specific frame is decided by the non-AP MLD. One method to decide when the specific frame is sent is described as the following:

 

After all necessary conditions of data delivery are setup, the multi-radio non-AP MLD will simultaneously monitor the RSSIs of Beacon frames respectively sent by the current APMLD and the target AP MLD. When the RSSI of the target AP MLD is better than the one of the current AP, the non-AP MLD can send out this specific frame.

Thanks for your clarification,  I ask when not how,  I think it’s more clear in your later explanation that a signaling is carried in (Re)assoication request to indicate this behavior.

Thanks for your discussion. The specific frame is TBD. It can be QoS Null frame or normal uplink data frame.

 

It’s target AP.

I have uploaded a new version of DCN834. Based on the off-line discussion, I prepare to run a high-level straw poll. The text is shown as below. If you have any concern or suggestion, please let me know.  

 

•    Do you support to define tentative (re)association operation in 11be R2?

–  NOTE. For the tentative (re)association operation, the non-AP MLD needs to proactively send a specific frame to trigger AP sending DS-STA-NOTIFY.request primitive to the DS, rather than AP automatically sending this primitive after successful (re)association.
