Hello Osama, Thanks for your email and sorry for my late response. Please see my answers inline. Regards, _Subir From: Osama AboulMagd <Osama.AboulMagd@xxxxxxxxxx> Hello Subir, I am sorry yesterday I couldn’t make my point clear. I was distracted by some 11ax business. Regarding 11-20/948r3…first of all I think it is good move to use Action frames compared to use a TID value greater than 7. SD> Good to know and thanks for the support. My question was related to slide #8 and in particular the bullet: • AP STA treats all traffic to/from non-AP STA as AC_VO • AP STA should give preference to traffic to/from non-AP STA over other AC_VO traffic • Preference applies to ordering of DL MPDU delivery and to UL resource allocation The scenario I am looking for is when a priority access is enabled by a STA. According to the bullet above the priority frames are mapped to AC_VO, but are given preference over other AC_VO traffic. Now I am assuming the STA is contending for the media as usual using EDCA. An EDCA TXOP may be acquired for any of the access functions namely for VO, VI, BE, or BK. If the TXOP is obtained for EDCAF other than AC_VO, what happens to the priority traffic in this case? Are they queued until a TXOP for VO_AC? SD> If the priority access is enabled by a NS/EP STA, all traffic to and from the STA are NS/EP traffic and should be treated as AC_VO. Therefore, there should not be any other access functions other than AC_VO during this period of enablement. Regards; Osama.
