Thanks Edward for pointing out this issue. It was actually discussed in the IEEE PHY meeting along with another parameter
NSS,
NSS,r,u, NSS,u, in which people preferred to use the unified notion with subscript u for both SU and MU cases. So we should have removed R in
20/1153r2 but only kept R_u in the table. Sorry for the typo.
