Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBE] PDT-PHY-EHT Preamble: U-SIG

Hi Yujin,

Thanks for your comments. Most of your comments are editorial. One comment as following is technical.
"I see motion about UL/DL flag in U-SIG. It does not describe any specific PPDU format such as MU PPDU or TB PPDU. However, I’m wondering there is any reason to have r UL/DL in TB PPDU."

The reason we put UL/DL flag in TB PPDU is because it is a version independent field, per the following motion. Version independent fields appear in all versions and PPDU formats.

The U-SIG shall contain the following version independent fields:

·         PHY version identifier: 3 bits.

·         UL/DL flag: 1 bit.

[Motion 42, [7] and [49]]

Hello all,

My colleague Alice and I have uploaded the document on PHY draft text for U-SIG to the documents server. The link is below:

Please let me know if you have any comments.

Thanks,

Subject: PDT-PHY-EHT Preamble: U-SIG

Hello U-SIG TTTs, and all,

We need to develop the following 4 sub-sections for the TGbe spec draft on U-SIG.

  • U-SIG
    • General
    • Content
    • CRC computation
    • Encoding and modulation

Tentatively, I would like to volunteer for the General and Content sub-sections of the U-SIG section if that is ok with everyone.  Within the content section, there might be various PPDU types, e.g..., ‘SU/MU unified’ and TB PPDU.

The CRC computation and ‘Encoding and modulation’ sections should be very similar to 802.11ax.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks,

Sameer
