Hello, Yongho,
Thanks for your comments.
Regarding the INACTIVE_SUBCHANNELS, current definition in 11ax is, when "FORMAT is NON_HT and NON_HT_MODULATION is NON_HT_DUP_OFDM",
"Indicates the 20 MHz subchannels that are punctured.
A bitmap indexed by the 20 MHz subchannels in ascending order with the LSB indicating the lowest frequency 20 MHz subchannel. A bit is set to 1 to indicate that the corresponding 20 MHz subchannel is punctured and set to 0 to indicate the corresponding 20 MHz subchannel is not punctured."
What's the new mechanism in your discussion that cannot be covered by above defintion?
Regarding the CH_BANDWIDTH_IN_NON_HT, I will take care of it following the consensus of the group. One way is to update the corresponding spec text in section 21 and section 17, instead of 34 or 27.
Best Regards,
Bo
CH_BANDWIDTH_IN_NON_HT | FORMAT is EHT_MU or EHT_TB | Not present | N | N |
Otherwise | See corresponding entry in Table 21-1 (TXVECTOR and RXVECTOR parameters) or Table 27-1 (TXVECTOR and RXVECTOR parameters). TBD |
Hello, Yanjun,
Thanks for initiaing the discussion.
For your reference, the current 11ax TXVECTOR parameter INACTIVE_SUBCHANNELS is present and indicates the 20 MHz subchannels that are punctured when "FORMAT is NON_HT and NON_HT_MODULATION is NON_HT_DUP_OFDM".
In 11be, Table 34-1 will contain parameter INACTIVE_SUBCHANNELS as well to extend support for FORMAT=EHT_MU. But for NON_HT case, the use of this parameter may refer to the definition as in 11ax Table 27-1. My question is whether current definition for INACTIVE_SUBCHANNELS in Table 27-1 supports the description in your proposal?
Best Regards,
Bo

Yongho, Bo, the draft has been revised to refer to the INACTIVE_SUBCHANNELS defined in 1403. Thanks again for your inputs.
Please let me know if you have any questions/comments.
Thank you,
