Thanks Chunyu, if this feature is to be included in the 11be spec my preference would be optional at both AP and STA.

Hi, Vinko:
Thank you for the question. It's optional ("may announce") for the AP to provide these scheduled SPs info. For the "support for announcing ...", the SP text doesn't explicitly say so for the EHT AP (only say optional for EHT non-AP).
To make it clear, we can add a bullet to say the support/capability of providing these SP info is mandatory for EHT AP. Are you okay with this, Vinko? Also hope to get feedback from the group on this one.
Thanks. Chunyu
Thanks Chunyu – can you please clarify if restricted TWT is mandatory for APs ( I guess support for announcing restricted service periods (SPs))? Regards, Vinko.. We have a revised SP text for 1046r5 SP1 based on the feedbacks received: •Do you agree to add to the TGbe SFD (in R1), a mode where an AP may announce restricted service periods (SPs) such that: oAny EHT STA that supports following the announced restricted SPs, and associated to the AP, shall end its TXOP before the start of the restricted SP(s) oThe support for the restricted SPs is optional for the EHT Non-AP STA Note: such restricted SPs are intended to provide more predictable latency performance for latency sensitive traffic Hope this can be a good common ground the group can accept.
