Starting an email thread on the following proposed changes in 1181r2 (CID 11453) and 1159r1 (CID 11390)
(#11453) A non-AP MLD with dot11EHTEMLSROptionImplemented equal to true shall have dot11EHTEMLMROptionImplemented equal to false.
(#11390) A non-AP MLD with dot11EHTEMLSROptionImplemented equal to true shall have dot11EHTEMLMROptionImplemented equal to false.
(#11390) A non-AP MLD with dot11EHTEMLMROptionImplemented equal to true shall have dot11EHTEMLSROptionImplemented equal to false.
I agree that the dynamic modes of operation EMLSR and EMLMR are mutually exclusive. However, why is there a need for an additional restriction that a non-AP can only advertise support of either EMLSR or EMLMR? Why prevent a non-AP from advertising the support for both modes and then making a dynamic choice between the operating modes?
