Hello Pooya,
Thank you for starting the discussion on your document.
There are 2 points that are not clear to me.
- Can you confirm that the goal of this document is to have some ACs (all TID from the same AC shall use the same mapping mode)
handled using the MU-EDCA values at any time on a given link for EDCA access ?
If yes, I think the rules for handling the MUEDCA timer expiration are not correct. The problem I see is that upon timer expiration, you reset the values of the EDCA parameters with the MUEDCA values, and then if the contention window was doubled for instance,
it is reset. Why don’t you simply ignore the expiration of the timer ? I mean, why don’t you simply indicate that if the timer expire you do not update the EDCA parameters values? - When did you set the EDCA parameters for the first time ?
In your proposal, the EDCA parameters are if the MUEDCA time expire, but if the AP never trigger a station on TID mapped in MUEDCA mode, this timer is not started.
I think you should mention that upon successful tid to link mapping negotiation, the EDCA parameters of the AC corresponding to TIDs mapped in MUEDCA mode shall be set with the MU EDCA values except for the AIFSN value.
Regards.
Stéphane.
