Oscar, et. al.,
On the 11bf call this morning Oscar suggested increasing the set of Alpha values from {1, 3, 5} to {1, 3, 5, 7}. I mentioned on the call I could run my simulation with this larger set.
It turns out it was a quick simulation, so I got it done already. Below is the table of SQNR loss relative to real-value scaling.
Notice that the SQNR loss changes from 1.06 dB to 0.80 dB. This is approximately 0.25 dB difference. It is unclear to me if that improvement is worth the increase in complexity, but I am willing to hear opinions from others.
