Hi Carol,

I'd really like to participate and contribute in TGbi  but the teleconferences are scheduled in conflict with TGbe, where I also participate. It's pretty clear that Fridays are available. Why is Friday not an option? Where there request to avoid Friday?

Let’s talk during the meeting today.  I am open to 1 hour calls for the next round of teleconferences, until and unless we have need for the 2 hour slots.

 

I got a lot of pushback the last time I suggested Fridays, so I left it off this time.  I have no problem with using a Friday slot.

          I'm also interested in knowing whether the intention is to have 1 hr calls for the Wed and Thurs 09:00 ET options. However, I'd also be interested to know why we are not considering Fridays. Thanks.

I answered “None” on the Doodle poll, but here’s some explanation (maybe you can correct me?):

  • Monday mornings conflict with REVme.  Certainly a conflict for me, but I suspect for several of the folks who are interested in the Privacy topic.
  • The Wed and Thurs 10am ET slots conflict with TGbe.  I would suggest “avoid TGbe entirely” if we want to get good participation in TGbi.
  • I’m unclear on the Wed and Thurs 9am suggestions.  Would those be 1 hour calls?  I’m torn whether that is a good idea, but it might help with the conflict.  Otherwise (if they are 2 hours), then they still conflict with TGbe – or were you hoping to get participation during the first hour, and those who can skip TGbe would stay for the second hour but you’ll lose some folks – still better than nothing, perhaps?  (Of course, this is really early for U.S. West Coast, also.  And, the Wednesday one conflicts with AANI.)
